Over the past few years, my hometown has undergone remarkable changes. As a student writing for our university newspaper, I would like to share two of them that have impressed me the most: transportation and the environment.
In the past, it used to take us hours of bumpy driving to reach the provincial capital. Now, however, a new high-speed railway gets us there in just two hours, and the widened roads have made daily travel far more convenient. Another change worth mentioning is the environment. The small river that once smelled terrible has been cleaned up, and several green parks have been built along its banks, where families now enjoy walking after dinner.
All these changes have made my hometown a much better place to live in. As someone who grew up there, I feel truly proud, and I firmly believe that it will become even more beautiful and livable in the years to come.
