How to best handle the relationship between parents and children is a topic worth pondering. In my view, a harmonious family bond does not fall from the sky; rather, it is built up when both sides work at it together.
To begin with, equal communication matters most. Parents should listen to their children as friends instead of giving orders, while children ought to share their true feelings honestly; only in this way can misunderstandings be cleared up. Besides, mutual respect is equally vital. Since every generation has its own values, both sides need to respect each other's choices and leave enough personal space, which prevents needless quarrels.
