Part I
Directions: For this part , you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay titled“Are people becoming addicted to technology?”.The statement given below is for your reference. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
Numerous studies claim that addiction to technology is real and it has the same effect on the brain as drug addiction.

Are people becoming addicted to technology? My answer is a definite yes. As numerous studies claim that addiction to technology is real, this problem deserves our serious attention.

Signs of such addiction are everywhere in daily life. Many people check their smartphones the moment they wake up and keep scrolling short videos until midnight. While technology is designed to make life easier, an increasing number of us feel anxious once we are separated from our screens. As a result, real conversations, sleep and study are all disturbed, which shows that our reliance has quietly turned into dependence.

In my view, therefore, people are indeed getting hooked on technology. However, this does not mean we should abandon it. What matters is to use technology in a rational way, setting limits on screen time and leaving room for the real world.

My answer is a definite yes 亮立场,落实了‘开门见山表态’;再借 As numerous studies claim ...

先用 check their smartphones the moment they wake up 等具体画面摆现象,再用 While ... As a result ... which shows that ...

用 people are indeed getting hooked 换词重申立场,再以 However ... what matters is to ...

Are people becoming addicted to technology?

Numerous studies claim that addiction to technology is real and it has the same effect on the brain as drug addiction

这与参考素材说的 the same effect on the brain as drug addiction 相呼应,把‘依赖’升级为‘上瘾’。

Are people becoming addicted to technology?

Are people becoming addicted to technology?:是的。

My answer is a definite yes/no.
  • 引素材入题句架 As [背景/研究] ..., this problem deserves our serious attention.

Signs of ... are everywhere in daily life: many people ...
While ..., an increasing number of us ...
As a result, ..., which shows that ...

In my view, therefore, ... are indeed ...
However, this does not mean we should ...; what matters is to ...

Are people becoming addicted to technology?
You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words,低于下限或高于上限都失分,务必在这个区间内收笔。
Studies claim that addiction to technology is real and it has the same effect on the brain as drug addiction,几乎照抄题干。 As some studies warn, technology can be as addictive as drugs,其余用自己的现象和分析展开。
Technology brings convenience, but it also causes some problems,全篇如此却始终不说人们是否正在上瘾。 Therefore, I firmly believe that people are indeed becoming addicted to technology。
Technology is everywhere and everyone uses it a lot,读者看不到任何具体行为。 Many students scroll short videos in bed until after midnight,让论证立得住。
People are addicted to technology Many people stay up late scrolling and feel tired the next day。
